Análisis del contexto: Barrio Lisboa
The smell of the river in the Lisboa district doesn’t seem to bother the dwellers.
Some areas of the riversides are used as routes of communication and access at the neighborhood.
There are some insecure areas in the neighborhood, especially in places not crowded or during the night. Some traders have their own security methods.
The work of recycling is “from father to son” and in this area is done near the river.
Some people and animals use the river for swimming, despite the pollution.
Childs are a strong and important presence in both quarters.
In the quarter there are areas with a strong presence of families coming from the region of Chocò, that makes possible the existance of differents marked borders of differents traditions.
Some of the houses on the riversides are made by recycled materials.
In the district operates an NGO called “Il nido del Gufo”, that, beside offering library services, creates constant activities for children of all ages. This enhance the identity with the neighborhood and with Colombia in general.
The church is a milestone in the district, apparently for the works that the Scalabretian order has done.
The Lisboa district has an important economic flux displaced in different parts of the area, mostly concentrated in the “main square” by the way, in front of the church.
It’s common to see people riding bicycles throught the district.
